Back on the road!

After spending a week trying to get the bus fixed ourselves, we decided the attempt was futile and got it to a professional. The repair palce was super helpful and friendly, let us crash right outside the garaga, came in a day they were closed to help us get back on the road, and knocked a couple bucks off the price for good faith.
After witnessing a mind blowing sunset, we started the trek north into Oregon.
We ventured into a place called Fern Canyon, on the way out of California, where we were greeted by prehistoric landscapes and unbelievable decor.
On our way out of the canyon we made our way to the beach where we got attacked by a full sized female Elk. Pat chased it around for a bit until it ran us off the road and back into the forest.

Picked up yet another hitchhiker today, who's showing us a cool place to camp out in Florence OR. Tomorrow we'll check out Portland if we make it there. The plan is to be back in Vermont within 3 weeks.

Here's a link to Jeff's blog - dude-man who's been travelling with us for a while, full of good vibes.

  1. I dropped off the barefoot beirdo at Deception pass yesterday. Ran into two dudes who have a compound 1 mile from the pass. The beirded one was going to stay with the dudes in a camper they said he could use 'cause the tent was full of hippies. Should be an adventure. Miss you guys a lot. Glad we got to spend time together.
The dock on the bay (useless that is). Say hi to Pat for me.
